The data controller for the Scale Syllabus application is Gianluca Barbaro (sole proprietor), Via Cantone di Sorpa 6, 27010 Badia Pavese (PV), Italy — VAT IT03000180186 (“we”, “us”, “our”), contactable at me@barbaro.it.

1. What the app stores, and where

Scale Syllabus keeps a few things on your device so that it can behave the way you left it:

• the key, the instrument and the view you last chose, and whether you prefer the light or dark theme;
• the scales you marked as favourites;
• the notes you wrote on a scale;
• the options you chose for a printed sheet;
• which scales you have opened, if you are using the free version.

All of it stays in your device's own storage. None of it is transmitted, backed up to us, or shared with anyone. We never see it, because it never reaches us. Removing the app removes this data with it; on platforms that back up app data as part of a device backup, your own backup may contain a copy — under your control, not ours.

2. Network use

Scale Syllabus works entirely offline. The only network activity is the store's own, during a purchase or a restore. The scales are generated on your device, and so is the sound: there is nothing to download.

3. Purchases

If you buy Scale Syllabus Complete, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple or Google. The app asks the store whether a purchase exists for your account; it never sees your payment details, and no purchase information is sent to us or to any third party. Restoring a purchase on another device asks the same store the same question.

Apple and Google process that transaction under their own privacy policies:

4. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your national Data Protection Authority.

In practice there is nothing for us to give you, correct or delete: we hold no personal data about you, because the app sends us none. Uninstalling the app erases everything it kept. If you would like to ask us anything about this, write to me@barbaro.it and we will answer within 30 days.

5. Children

The app is suitable for all ages, and collects nothing from anyone — including children.

6. This website

The page that describes the app on this site uses Google Analytics to count visits; it sets cookies in your browser and is subject to Google's privacy policy. This page and the licence page carry no analytics and set no cookies.

None of this concerns the app itself, which contains no analytics of any kind and makes no network requests.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear at this address with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new practice.
