Aerophone Mini - Octave Exercises - Part 4

Gianluca Barbaro

Hello fellow Miniers,

here is the fouth and final part of my Octave Exercises for the Aerophone Mini, please read the first article of this series first (and eventually the second one and the third one).

We are going to focus again on small 3-note patterns, this time taken from harmonic minor scales. In particular, we will work on those fragments of harmonic minor scales that contain the tipical 3-semitone interval and that involve an octave change. As you will see, we start from D minor and then we go up to F minor: no other minor scale has the required properties on the Aerophone Mini.

As indicated in the exercises, I suggest working on these patterns explicitly at all three different octaves, because the mechanics of the fingers are slightly different, and because in the third register we are going to use the extended fingerings, as explained in the first part of this series.
