Aerophone AE-10G - Bach - Cello Suite I - Prélude -

Decennial Edition

Gianluca Barbaro

More or less 10 years ago I published my first video on YouTube. It was an Akai EWI version of the famous Prelude in G major from J.S. Bach’s Cello Suite I.

This piece has been played with practically any musical instrument, but I’m pretty sure I was the first one to publish a video playing it with an EWI.

At the time, I had to connect my USB EWI to my computer and the sound was actually produced by the (infamous) Aria software.

Here’s what happens ten years after, with a Roland Aerophone AE-10G and the built-in Cello preset.

The Aerophone is connected to an amplifier, but I’m recording with a live mic, hopefully because it should sound more authentic (with key and breathing noises).

In case you’re interested, here is my original EWI video.

Thanks for watching!
